A Letter from the Leadership
Cheder Chabad Florida was founded 6 years ago on the G-dly premise that every single child is a boundless, infinite chelek Eloka m'maal mamash — a literal piece of the ascendant divine. Chinuch, education, is how that infinite boundlessness becomes reality in this very finite, bounded world.
The journey began with a בלי גבול, boundless energy and drive. 36 students soon became a 100, 100 quickly became 300. The בלי גבול ability within each classroom, within each child, shined for all to see and illuminated all of South Florida.
As with all things בלי גבול, as we grew and blossomed, the number one challenge became גבול, the physical and bounded limits of space.
We had no home. We moved from place to place. All the while our Chinuch knew no limits and bounds, but our physical space was limited and bounded. While the angst was real, we never tarried. Indeed, our sages (Megillah 10b) teach that this is the very challenge of Chinuch since the original curriculum of education and instruction, the Torah, was first housed.
Yet, the Torah itself in the Parsha of Terumah, the portion of fundraising, states very clearly: They shall make an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height — a very clear and defined measurement indeed.
The light of Chassidus illuminates this seeming conundrum, by-and-by radiating the essence of education and the soul of our capital building initiative:
In the Holy of Holies, in Torah, in Chinuch, in every student, two things are true simultaneously: the divine essence is בלי גבול, boundlessly transcending measure; and our entire objective is to manifest and build that boundlessness in the very concrete reality of this material world.
This is how, with Hashem's blessing and your partnership, we will build boundlessly for our future.
